Geneinno has recently launched the S2, the second generation of underwater scooters and one of the lightest and most portable available to date. The S2 weighs just 2.67kg and is about the same size as a 16-inch MacBook Pro, meaning this scooter can easily fit in a large backpack or suitcase.
In fact, you can take the S2 wherever you want because the built-in battery capacity of 97Wh is less than the 100Wh limit that they allow on airplanes. So there is no impediment to enjoy it during this summer vacation.
Main features and functions
One of the main attractions of this underwater scooter is how light it is. As we have already mentioned, with only 2.67 kg, it can be carried in a backpack or comfortably in the hand.
It's built with just three main parts , with the large battery in the center, two handles on each side (housing the throttle), and two powerful motors at the end of each handle. It is very ergonomic and quite easy to use.
The center housing also includes a mount for a GoPro , which is an ideal place to record your underwater excursions without having to rely on your arm. If you don't have a GoPro, you can attach a light and illuminate the shadowy depths and unexplored underwater caves.
The S2's engines have an anti-rust coating , making them durable for over 1,000 hours in various scenarios, both in fresh and salt water. The sealing technique and the water-cooling design guarantee a high level of performance.
It has a depth rating of 30 meters , so you can have some proper underwater adventures with this device, but of course, also quite fun when playing with it in a pool.
Geneinno claims that the S2 has positive buoyancy (meaning it will float) and helps prevent it from getting lost in the ocean (although I don't think anyone would dare to try this).
The Geneinno S2 provides up to a total of 10 kilos of thrust , powered by 350W brushless motors. There are two-speed settings, which can be selected by pressing the accelerator or selected from the app. These allow you to navigate through the water at 3.2km / h when using the standard setting, or 4.3km / h using the maximum power setting.
The 97 Wh battery offers around 45 minutes of operating time and can be recharged in just 1.5 hours with the magnetic charger.
Geneinno S2 usage can be monitored using the companion app , where you can view speed, depth, distance, light, and battery life. Since the underwater scooter is intended for all ages, the app was specifically designed so that an adult can control the scooter by the pool while your child plays with the S2 in the pool.
