Strawberry protein mousse

Neither sweets are prohibited in a healthy diet, nor does everything have to be made of chocolate. One of the biggest advantages of a varied diet is that we can use some fruits to make delicious desserts or snacks. In this case, today's recipe will discover a healthy way to prepare a protein mousse of strawberries and beaten cheese.
I am aware of how boring it is to take the fresh shaken cheese without anything to go with it, so to make it much tastier, we will bet on strawberries.

A quick and easy recipe to make

If I tell you that it won't take you more than 10 minutes to do it, do you believe me? Also, you will only need 3 ingredients. What more can you ask? You will not need to use sugar or any sweetener, since strawberries will provide the sweet flavor that we are looking for. So we will have a recipe high in protein, low in fat and without added sugars.

mousse proteica de fresas

In case you don't like smoothie fresh cheese, you can add Greek or natural yogurt. Perhaps a bit more bitter flavor remains, but just as rich! Without a doubt, this is a perfect snack to take before or after training.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of strawberries
  • 500 grams of fresh cheese, whipped 0%
  • 6 gelatin sheets

Preparation

Soak the gelatin

In a bowl, add cold water and add the gelatin leaves until soft.

Crush the strawberries

With the help of a mixer or a Thermomix, crush all the strawberries until they have the consistency that you like the most.

Then, heat this purée to 60º C so that when we add the gelatin, it dissolves.

Add the cheese

To the strawberry and gelatin mixture, add the beaten fresh cheese (or failing Greek yogurt). Mix again with the Thermomix so that there is a homogeneous mass.

To the fridge!

In glass jars, put the strawberry mousse and put them in the fridge for about 3 hours.
