Protein tuna bread

Eating 100% whole wheat bread is usually a difficult task to accomplish.

Most breads sold in supermarkets contain wheat flour as the first ingredient, despite being labeled "whole". If you want to make yourself a sandwich, but you do not want to sin in this type of bread, we bring you the recipe for protein tuna bread .

Without flours

It seems a little crazy, doesn't it? The dough that we get with the tuna and the whites can have the same consistency as a Thins bread, but in this case we will not find even a pinch of flour or yeast. You can add the spices you like the most for flavor, and try not to use salt to make it as healthy as possible.

You will realize how easy it can be to take canned tuna without the need to put it in salads or omelets. In addition, the cooking time is very fast when it is in the pan. Do you dare to do it and send us a photo on Instagram ?

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna in brine (120 gr)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp almond or ground flaxseed
  • Spices

Preparation

We prepare the mixture

In a blender, put the two cans of tuna to the natural very well drained, the egg whites, the ground flaxseed and the spices that we have chosen. We beat very well until there is a very homogeneous paste.

To the pan

The mixture will serve us for two "loaf" breads. You can use a mold to make them come out in a specific way: square, round, heart …

To avoid sticking to the pan, put the heat on medium and use a baking paper as a base. This way you will not have the need to use oils and it will not stick.

Let them brown a little and take them out.

Fill to taste

Once ready, fill your sandwich with your favorite ingredients. You can put fresh cheese and tomato, for example.
