Low-carb prawn and avocado salad

Have you ever heard of low-carb diet? Don't panic, they are nothing more than low carbohydrate diets. In diets like this it is not about eliminating carbohydrates, but reducing their intake.

In this type of diet, proteins and fats will be the main protagonists , providing us with the majority of daily calories.

Prawn and avocado salad

The main ingredients of this recipe are avocado and shrimp, achieving a perfect combination of healthy fats and protein.

In addition, we will add tomato, lamb's lettuce and asparagus, achieving a dish with diuretic properties while being super nutritious.

This dish is a great idea for dinner, due to the anti-inflammatory properties that avocado gives us.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of prawns
  • Sweet and spicy paprika (one tablespoon each)
  • Cayenne
  • Garlic clove
  • Coconut oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Canons (around a bunch)
  • 2 avocados
  • Lemon juice (half a lemon squeezed)
  • Coconut milk (three tablespoons)
  • 10 asparagus

Preparation

We brown the asparagus

By heating the skillet over low heat with olive oil and a pinch of salt, cook the asparagus until golden brown.

Prawns with garlic and cayenne

We remove the asparagus and add the garlic and the cayenne. Once the garlic clove is golden, add the prawns for about five minutes.

We add paprika

After those five minutes we add the sweet and spicy paprika, and cook an extra time.

We plate the salad

We will cut the asparagus into pieces, and distribute them with the canons. With the avocado, cut it into squares and pour the prawns.

We dress

Finally, we will dress the salad with a tablespoon of lemon, another of olive oil, one of coconut oil and stir. Ready to eat!
