Healthy fruit and chocolate magnum

With the arrival of high temperatures, more than one wants to eat ice cream as a snack or as a dessert. The truth is that the vast majority of those we find in supermarkets come full of sugars or unhealthy fats. One of my favorites is the almond magnum, but we all know that it is an authentic caloric bomb, in addition to providing very few nutrients.

Luckily, I am going to show you a fitness recipe, very healthy and with a great nutritional contribution. In this case I have chosen strawberries and banana to create the ice cream dough, but you can choose the fruit that you are most passionate about.

magnum saludable

Magnum with coconut oil

This version of magnum contains no gluten, no added sugar, no sweeteners, no eggs, and no dairy. Totally healthy and perfect for anyone who wants to satisfy their craving by providing nutrients to the body. You may be wondering why we use coconut oil in this recipe, and why no other oil is valid. Coconut oil has properties that favor the chocolate to be completely frozen when it comes into contact with ice cream. If you opt for olive oil, you are not going to get the result you want.

On the other hand, the molds to make this type of ice cream can be found on Amazon at a very affordable price.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries and banana
  • 6 ounces 90% cocoa chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • Nuts (almonds or hazelnuts)

Preparation

Whisk the fruits

Put the strawberries and the banana in a mixer and grind until there is a homogeneous mass.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream mold and wait about 4 hours for it to freeze.

Prepare the chocolate layer

Once we have the frozen ice creams, we melt the chocolate with the coconut oil and pour it on top of each one.
It is time to also add nuts if you wish.

To enjoy!

You can eat it directly, since the chocolate and nuts will be fixed by the cold of the ice cream.
Although you can also put them back in the freezer and taste them whenever you want.
