One of the favorite foods of the Spanish is croquettes. Can we say that it is the star cover of bars? The problem is that when we go into a healthy diet, its consumption must be almost eliminated from our diet. The amount of fat that it contributes does not favor anything to maintain or lower our weight. Whether for the bechamel, its filling or frying, the croquettes become a very occasional whim.
On this occasion we bring you a fitness version, just as delicious and baked! Yes, it is possible to cook them without the need to fry them. In addition, in this recipe you will see that all the ingredients are practically natural and do not come from any process.
Fitness breadcrumbs
We will make the "breadcrumbs" by crushing the whole wasa bread toasts sold in Mercadona or Lidl. They are very easy to find and provide much more fiber than any other batter.
As for the dough, you decide if you want to find more or less pieces of potato and chicken. Make them thinking of your tastes, you can even substitute chicken for other meat or fish. Also add the spices that you like the most, we have opted for garlic powder and Himalayan salt.
The important thing is that we do not use bechamel or add extra calories by frying them in oil. What do you think of the idea of cooking them in the oven?

- 150 gr of chicken

1: the potato and chicken dough
2: the egg with the whites
3: our breadcrumbs
Our croquettes will be cooked in the oven, so preheat it to 180º.
The steps are very simple. Make balls of the dough, pass them through the egg container and then through the breadcrumb container.
Place them on a baking sheet. Put a piece of parchment paper underneath so they don't stick to the tray.
Put them in the oven and let them cook at 180º for about 10 minutes.
