Burgers with piri piri peppers

In the heat of the season, many of us met with a group of friends to barbecue and spend the day laughing. Taking advantage of the feast that you are going to give, I propose a healthy and totally striking option. Next we show you how to make a turkey burger with piri piri pepper. Ground turkey is a lean meat with a fairly neutral flavor that easily acquires the characteristics of the spices you add; so it's the perfect base for a spiced burger looking to bring "the heat" to your plate.

Why do we use piri piri peppers?

In this recipe, the burger uses "the heat" of the piri piri peppers along with a combination of cumin, coriander, and garlic to make an explosive flavor. Maybe it's the first time you've heard of this type of pepper, right? Well, they are just a type of hot pepper (medium grade), which is between a jalapeño and a habanero . If you find it hard to find this type of ingredient or the piri piri sauce, you can use Tabasco or some other spicy sauce based on habanero.

To get a healthy and delicious alternative, low in carbohydrates, instead of bread we will use two halves of red pepper (normal) on the grill. That is to say, that they are a little suckled, but without getting to roast completely. They need to be consistent to put up with the burger. Other alternatives to bread can be lightly roasted slices of zucchini, eggplant, sweet potato, tomato or lettuce leaves.
