This white bread has as its main ingredient the most protein part of the egg. Specifically, in this recipe we will obtain 14 grams of protein thanks also to the oatmeal. In addition, this type of flour has a low carbohydrate value, and in just 20 grams it provides us with 2.4 grams of carbohydrates.

Luckily, this recipe is easy and quick to make, but if you want to have bread for several days, you will like to know that it can be perfectly preserved in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Now you just have to fill it with what you like the most. We have opted for a sweet version with chocolate, but you can also add tomato and avocado to make a salty snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 20 grams of oatmeal
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation

We mount the whites

Whip the whites (you can do it in a whisk with rods or in the thermomix 4min, speed 3.5 with the butterfly) and add a pinch of salt in the middle of the whipping process to make them firmer.

Add the flour

Add the 20 grams of oatmeal and make enveloping movements with a wooden or silicone spoon. Do not do it too fast or the whites are completely lowered, be careful.

Pour into a mold

Put the mixture in a silicone container greased with oil so that it does not stick. If you don't have it, you can use a milk carton cut in half or a normal mold with parchment paper.

To the microwave!

Put it in the microwave for 2 and a half minutes at 700w (or until done). If you prefer to do it in the oven, you can put it at 180ºC and check until it is done.

Fill with what you like the most

You can make a sweet or savory filling.

If you love chocolate bread, put 2-3 ounces chocolate +1/4 tsp coconut or olive oil in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute to melt. Add the chocolate to the bread and you're done.
