Rare is that being in the middle of a diet we do not go to rice and chicken meat . However, on many occasions we usually go to simple rice and grilled chicken breast, when you can give it a twist and make a tastier recipe without investing too much time.
On this occasion, we will use both red and green peppers , a pinch of curry and onion to make a dish with much more flavor. We explain how to do it.
Why the chicken and the rice?
Chicken and rice are an excellent source of protein and carbohydrates respectively. That is why it is very common to find these foods in the bases of a fit diet.
Ingredients
- About four chicken breast fillets (approximately 200g)
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1 Chive
- Curry
- 200 grams of basmati rice
- Aromatic herbs
- Olive oil
Preparation
Bring 400ml of water to a boil. Add the rice. We let it cook fifteen minutes over medium / high heat. When the rice has consumed the water we turn off the fire and let it rest.
We cut the chicken breast into cubes.
Chop the peppers by cleaning all the seeds into small pieces
Chop the onion
Once we have all the vegetables in small pieces, we pour it into a bowl and garnish it with some thyme and oregano, pink salt and a teaspoon of curry.
We will pour the vegetables into the pan with two tablespoons of EVOO. We stir from time to time so that the spices mix well with the ingredients.
The last thing to add will be the chicken once the vegetables have browned. We move until we see the cooked meat and the tender vegetables.
We mix the rice with the chicken to finish our dish and serve delicately.
