Lidl's kombucha is on sale for a limited time

Kombucha is a very healthy natural drink that has become popular in Spain in recent months and that is thanks to the Komvida brand, a Spanish firm, by the way, and which has aroused interest in natural soft drinks full of benefits for the body. Based on this, the most direct competition comes to Lidl, with similar bottles and flavors. It is so popular that Mercadona also has its own.

For those who do not know, kombucha is something that already existed for thousands of years, but it had always remained in the shadows until little by little it has been gaining relevance and popularity due to its benefits in the body and because it is a kind of natural “soft drink” without artificial colors, low in fat, where there are almost no sugars or calories per 100 ml, etc.

In addition, the fame of kombucha is due to the fact that a brand called Komvida appeared in Spain a few years ago (headed by two entrepreneurs from Extremadura) and little by little they have been bringing out new flavors and conquering the public. So much so that currently there is 100% healthy beer and it is nothing more than a kombucha with a light touch of beer.

We say it again, and it is that even Mercadona has its own kombucha and now Lidl’s kombucha enters the scene with an almost unbeatable price for each 250 ml glass bottle and two different and natural flavors from organic farming.

Lidl’s kombucha on sale until August 18

Kombucha de Lidl con limón y jengibre

This drink that is obtained after the natural fermentation of green tea with sugar achieves a colony of bacteria and yeasts that are very beneficial for our body, and more specifically, for our intestinal microbiota.

A few paragraphs above we have said that this natural soft drink is low in sugar, and it is true, because during the fermentation process the colony of bacteria and yeasts called Scoby, manage to “eat” almost all the sugar and produce the natural bubbles that we see in the kombucha.

To choose a quality kombucha and not an ultra-processed product, you have to read the label and see if the original recipe has been respected or not and that it does not bring anything extra such as colorants, sweeteners, flavor enhancers, etc.

Lidl’s kombucha (manufactured by Solevita) respects the traditional recipe and we can buy each glass bottle for 1.49 euros until August 18, 2021 only in the physical stores that Lidl has throughout the Spanish geography.

On the Lidl website it is specified that each bottle has 11 kilocalories per 100 ml of product , that is, if we drink a 250 ml bottle, we will be consuming a total (approximate) of about 26 kilocalories, which is still little .

There are only 2 flavors and both are 100% natural soft drinks in 250 ml recyclable glass bottles. On the one hand, we have cranberries, aronia and red grapes from organic farming, and, on the other hand, lemon and ginger juice also from organic farming.
