Is it bad to shower too many times?

The practice of certain sports often forces us to shower too often. The same occurs with certain routines, sports or not, that force us to soak more than once a day. Showering repeatedly, is it harmful?

How does showering too much harm me?

Numerous studies argue that excessive showering can be harmful to our skin. Therefore, if we associate showering too much, with having greater body hygiene, we are wrong. The abuse of chemical products that we apply can lead to irritation and dry skin.

And it is that there are several professionals who affirm that excessive showering can be more harmful than not doing it. The use of soaps very frequently is very aggressive for our body. All the harmful components that come into contact with the skin, end up reaching our bloodstream, so it is convenient to reduce them.

What if I have no choice?

If your work, sport, training or routine forces you to shower very frequently, don't panic. What really affects dry skin is the abuse of certain soaps. Therefore, if you have to do it more than once a day, use neutral gels specially indicated for pH care. In addition, it is highly recommended that you use the product only once. For example, if you have to shower three times tomorrow, use soap only once, and the rest only with water. Also, use moisturizer when finished, preferably with vegetable oil content .

What if I swim in the beach or pool?

If so, keep in mind to rinse with water. Eliminate traces of chlorine or sea salt by soaking, without soaps. It is important that, next to the body, you also rinse your hair.
