Chicken Burritos

Chicken breast is one of the most consumed foods in sports. Although on this page we have given some recipes to prepare this food, such as Mediterranean-style chicken burgers or chicken curry rice, today we bring a new recipe perfect for preparing a special day, without giving up a healthy meal.

In this case we are going to explain how to prepare some chicken breast burritos . This recipe is nutritionally complete, providing us with a large amount of protein , and a moderate amount of carbohydrates and fats. In turn, thanks to the peppers, onions and lettuce that will accompany the chicken, we will have a rich source of vitamins and minerals , which will contribute to having a correct consumption of micronutrients.

Ingredients

  • 200 g chicken breast
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • Burritos seasoning
  • 1 onion
  • Sliced cheese (half a slice for each burrito)
  • Mexican tortillas
  • Lettuce

Preparation

Make the peppers

First, we will cut the peppers into strips of normal size. Once cut, add a little olive oil to the pan and add the peppers.

It is advisable to put a lid on the pan so that the peppers are better made. We will leave the pan on medium heat.

Make the onion

While the peppers are made, we will cut the onion into a julienne (this is to the taste of each one). Once cut and when the peppers are medium done (3-5 minutes), add it to the pan with the peppers.

Make the chicken breast

We cut the chicken breast into thin strips while the rest of the ingredients are made.

Once the peppers and onion are half done (depends on taste), add the cut chicken breast.

Next, we add the seasoning to the set of ingredients in the pan.

At all times we will leave the pan on medium heat.

We assemble the burrito

Once the ingredients are done, cut the lettuce into small pieces.

Finally, we take a Mexican omelette and put the ingredients on top, fold on one side and rotate the burrito so that it is tight.
