5 tips to make your virtual training perfect

It is a strange time to be alive and an excellent time to be an athlete. Coaches possess the knowledge to navigate these challenging times as they guide their clients toward new routines and effective health habits. Taking into account the advice of experts, we can all recover from this pandemic, while maintaining physical exercise habits.

This rebound is due in large part to technological advances (virtual training) that allow us to maintain a presence with the coach without the physical need to be face to face. There are numerous virtual training methods, and the most striking thing is that you can be flexible and provide progress.

Essentially, COVID-19 is the injury, and virtual training is the modification. Virtual trainings are the platform that will not only support companies during closing, but will enrich the customer-facing experience when doors are reopened. Imagine that you travel every two weeks, now you can stay constant in training thanks to the version.

Of course, a row of resistance bands caught in a hotel door is less effective than a pendlay row. But, an oar with resistance bands on a hotel door is ten times more effective than fifteen repetitions of changing the channel and one repetition of ordering food at the hotel bar.

Find a training environment

Make your training place similar to the environment in which you normally train. The less different things are, the more likely you are to feel at home virtually.

To do this, I recommend wearing the same workout clothes you wear in the gym. No training in pajamas or with the slippers around the house.

Go prepared

Ideally, find your training routine before you start exercising. Are you not going to the gym without knowing what to do? Well, in each beam the same. Find training apps or videos to avoid wasting time.

Opt for timer workouts

During a virtual session, we all look at the advice of our coach. Just as we look carefully at how you do the exercises, we also follow their instructions and repetitions. So it's important that you avoid your urge to look at Instagram or Twitter while training.

This is your time, so treat it as such. My advice is to choose a workout that has its own timer and scheduled breaks. In this way, we avoid fiddling with the phone all the time.

Check your connection

Make sure your wifi connection is strong. Sitting near the router makes a big difference in connectivity as many apartment buildings have bandwidth issues due to the high concentration of people working from home.

I also recommend turning off the wifi on your phone and opting for data consumption or previously downloading the training. Thus we save the unexpected cuts.

Plan overtime

If a typical session starts and ends at a certain time, I would recommend starting 5-10 minutes earlier and ending at the same time. This time will allow the resolution of problems and communication problems.
