SixPad Foot Fit promises to give you a "six-pack" on your feet

For years we have seen advertisements for products that promise amazing results on the physique, without having to leave the sofa or break a sweat. We are sure that you have always dreamed of having big and strong legs, but without getting out of bed. You may not have to keep wanting it, because SixPad Foot Fit promises to help you.

SixPad is the famous belt-girdle company that claims to get you marked abs just by putting it on for a few minutes a day. Even Cristiano Ronaldo himself supports this invention (but we already know that he also does it with Herbalife, and not because he takes them). The SixPad Foot Fit is a "trainer" focused on the feet, calves and the entire lower body.

Specifically, it works with electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) , which generally promise muscle toning results that enhance those achieved when exercising. However, this device seems to be more aimed at people who want to get fit and tone the leg area, literally without getting off the couch. Although realistically, you won't see optimal results unless you also exercise, run, and / or ride your bike.

Does it really work?

Foot Fit's EMS technology operates at a frequency of 20 Hz and generates electrical currents over the course of a 23 minute automated program cycle for "maximum efficiency," as SIXPAD puts it. The currents travel through both feet when placed on the appliance, passing from the calf and tibialis anterior muscles to the thighs, stimulating the muscle tissues in the process.

It has 20 customizable intensity levels with the ability to control and navigate through them using adjustable foot controls or your phone (via Bluetooth), a carry handle, and a child safety lock , among other features.

Will SixPad Foot Fit make your legs strong?

To test the effectiveness of the claims, SIXPAD had an independent research agency test the fit of the foot. This research yielded promising results: strength of the calf muscles and of the thigh muscles , specifically the rectus femoris. Furthermore, they improved by 76% and 29% respectively after eight weeks using SIXPAD Foot Fit once a day, and improvements of 65% and 21% were seen after just four weeks.

The research also found 12% improvements in both calf muscle hypertrophy and finger strength . That seems to suggest that it will give you bigger calves and stronger fingers.

Interestingly, no benefit was noticed on the hamstrings, so you'll just have to keep squatting.

However, it must be recognized that all the research subjects were people (40 to 69 years old) who exercised regularly. So we highly doubt that you will see similar results to the above just by using Foot Fits.
