Donettes have been part of many of our snacks when we were little (and not so small). Ideally, stop consuming processed pastries, since its added sugars and low-quality oils make it an inadvisable product for health. In an attempt to continue chopping this sweet from time to time, but without harming our body, we have created this simple and very healthy recipe.
No added sugar, no oils and low in calories
In less than an hour you will be able to taste this masterpiece, which can be part of snacks to satisfy cravings. The base will be almond flour, so we will get all the benefits of the dried fruit and avoid refined flours that trigger the blood glucose level.
One of the most recognized sensations with industrial pastries is the sudden spike in energy and the radical drop in a few minutes. That roller coaster doesn't happen with this recipe, thanks to its healthy ingredients and low sugar content.
If you want to make a crunch version, you can add bits of dried fruit when you dip them in chocolate. I assure you that they are a real delight! There is no longer an excuse to surprise your relatives at snack time.
Ingredients
- 125 grams of almond flour (ground almond)
- 2 eggs
- 25 grams of whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoonful of apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablet of 85% chocolate
- 20-30 grams of milk chocolate with no added sugar
- Sweetener to taste
Preparation
In a bowl, add the flour, eggs, cream, vinegar, sweetener and baking soda. We beat everything very well until we get a dough similar to that of cookies.
Fill the mold of the donettes with the mixture and put them in the oven for 12 minutes, at 180ºC.
In two different containers, we put the chocolates and melt them in the microwave.
When the dough is ready to be removed from the oven, we remove the donettes very carefully and dip them one by one in the 85% chocolate.
As we bathe them, we place them on a separate tray.
With the help of a spoon, we add milk chocolate topping.
When they are ready, put them in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes so that the chocolate solidifies.
