Learn how to make homemade granola fit for breakfast

Coffee shops have adapted to the times, and instead of seeing chocolate cupcakes, it is increasingly common to find a bowl of yogurt with homemade granola. If you have tried it, you will agree with me that it is a show and gives a special touch to the mixture of yogurt with fruits. To avoid spending all your salary in bars that have this delicacy, we teach you a simple, quick and healthy recipe.

Homemade sugar free fit granola

You will have seen versions of all kinds, with refined sugar, brown sugar, panela, sweetener, etc. We prefer the flavor of granola to come from honey and cinnamon. If you are going to use it as a complement to a bowl of yogurt with fruit, the chosen fruit will be the one that gives the sweet touch to breakfast or snack.

This recipe is one of the simplest, and you can change ingredients to your liking. For example, if you want to take care of yourself a little more or you are an athlete, add dehydrated fruits to provide more fiber and sweetness. You can also choose other types of cereals, nuts or seeds. Do you prefer flax seeds or pumpkin seeds? Perfect! Just make sure you have all the ingredients well chopped so they are easy to eat.

Ingredients

  • 450 grams of oats in flakes
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 80 grams of chia seeds
  • 1 cup of grated coconut
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 3 teaspoons of honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Preparation

We do a first mix

In a bowl, put the oatmeal, the grated coconut and the chia seeds. Stir very well until everything is mixed.

Add the raisins and blueberries. Next, also introduce the walnuts and almonds, finely chopped.

Add the liquid ingredients

Pour in the honey and olive oil. Mix very well and then add the egg white.

Keep mixing to get a well distributed batter.

Baked!

Preheat the oven to 120ºC.

Put the granola on a baking sheet, on a parchment paper.

Cook in the oven for about 20-30 minutes, looking every now and then and turning so it doesn't burn.

Add cinnamon

Remove the homemade granola from the oven and pour some cinnamon on top. Mix everything up again.
