Cauliflower-based pizza

Eating a healthy diet does not mean that you have to stop eating certain dishes. Pizza is one of the most desired dishes on cheat meal days, but you can really introduce it frequently in your week (if you opt for a healthy version). Today you are going to discover the most fitness recipe, with no more than 4 ingredients and easy to cook.

Pizza without flour base

One of the problems of eating pasta dishes or pizzas is the increase in carbohydrates consumed. By swapping wheat flour (even whole wheat) for cauliflower, we are significantly reducing the consumption of this nutrient. To give you an idea, in 100 grams of cauliflower we only find 2.3 grams of hydrates; while in a base of integral flour we can be around 40 grams.

In addition, making it with this vegetable will encourage you to consume more variety of foods in your diet. Even if you hate cauliflower, it's a good choice. I assure you that it does not have a remarkable flavor, so it will not "spoil" the content that you put on it. Of course, you must make a very fine dough so that it cooks well in the oven and does not remain spongy or liquid inside.

Ingredients

  • 200gr raw cauliflower
  • 1 egg
  • 50 gr smoothie goat cheese
  • black pepper
  • basil
  • oregano
  • homemade tomato sauce
  • fresh goat cheese
  • spinach
  • yeast

Preparation

Prepare the oven

Preheat the oven to 220º C.

Grind the cauliflower

Cut the cauliflower into small pieces and mash it with the help of a mixer.

Add the rest of the ingredients

In the crushed cauliflower, add the egg, the beaten cheese, salt, pepper, basil and oregano. Beat well until there is a homogeneous mass.

Place it on a tray

Spread the dough on a baking sheet, trying to make it as thin as possible. Bake for 20 minutes at 220º C. Watch that it does not burn.

Add the rest of the ingredients

Take the base out of the oven and cover it with the ingredients you have chosen (tomato sauce, cheese and spinach).
Lower the oven temperature to 180º C and reinsert the pizza, with heat only on top. Let it bake for 5-10 minutes.
