The 6 most common sins when training with a TRX

TRX is an excellent material to train the whole body with your own weight. The truth is that, although it is present in most gymnasiums, very few know how to use it correctly. Today we tell you the 6 deadly sins of any beginner (and amateur) that will reveal that you still have a lot to learn.

6 common mistakes when training with TRX

Don't let the tapes touch your skin

In press movements (such as push-ups or chest openings) it is common for the tapes to be constantly rubbing against your arms. To prevent this from happening, raise your hands a little higher to slightly separate the tapes from your skin. You can also subtly rotate your hands out.

In this way they will continue to be in an ideal position, close to the body, but without touching each other.

Avoid losing spinal alignment

It is important that your back does not arch, especially in the lower back, when performing exercises in which your body is ironed. Always try to have a good alignment and a perfect control of your abdomen to do the exercises correctly. You will have to activate the rear chain to move in a block.

If it's too difficult for you, you may have a higher incline than you can handle. Get back up a bit so you're not so parallel to the ground.

The strings must always be tight

In some exercises, such as rowing, you may have noticed some slack in the rope at the end of the course. Always look for a point of tension and control movement. If you get too high, to lose the tension, you will not be exercising correctly.

TRX is not a pulley

Have your ropes moved in the hitch while you were exercising? If you have done an exercise with the left rope longer than the right, it is because you were not doing the same pressure on both. You have to avoid swinging movements that unbalance the movement. Furthermore, that friction can end up shortening the life of our TRX.

Always have the same measurement on both sides and, if you have to make any adjustments, do not do it by loading weight on it.

Do not start the exercise until you are well positioned

Any change you want to make, once you start the exercise, always takes more time and is more difficult to endure. Make sure you have the TRX in the proper position and that you are positioned perfectly.

Do not stop during exercise

A basic beginner mistake is to start an exercise and give it up for not being able to hold on. The advantage of training with TRX is that all the exercises can be adapted to any level, helping you with the incline and the pendulum. Always try to end your work time, even if you start at a high intensity and have to lower it when you feel fatigued.

It is very simple, since just taking a step back or forward changes the intensity significantly. Logically, if you have reached the point of losing the technique, it is preferable to stop rather than continue to execute the movement poorly and increase the risk of injury.
