Protein turkey pie with vegetables

Thinking of recipes for healthy, protein and light dinners is not easy. To avoid binge-eating, by coming home hungry after a long day at work, I suggest making the famous protein turkey pie (healthy version). It is far from the classic recipe that our mothers make, but it will enhance your training benefits.

Why do we use turkey?

In this protein cake we have opted for turkey as it is a lean meat with the highest protein content. It is one of the most proteinic meats, along with chicken, with 24.2 gr per 100 of product. Logically, there are more fatty parts than others, but the breast is the ideal for this dish. In addition, we will use egg and milk, in which we also find a certain protein content.

You should not fear that it is a heavy recipe, since more than three quarters are turkey and vegetables. Choose the vegetables that you like the most, although in this case we have chosen peppers (green and piquillo) together with onion. The use of spices will also give it a different touch. If you can, reduce or avoid the salt intake and take advantage to enjoy the natural flavor of this piece of cake.

As for flour, you can use any whole grain or whole grain to make the healthier version.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of ground turkey meat
