Features and functions of the Nike Adapt Auto Max
Based on FitAdapt technology , the Adapt Auto Max has the ability to save the perfect fit, and for the first time you’ll have two modes to adjust it: one tuned for activity and the other for relaxation.
You can also choose between 13 colors , with the option of pressing them for an hour so that they change automatically. This can even be controlled by voice using Siri and Google Assistant.
The silhouette’s innovative approach extends to its performance characteristics. Channeling the DNA of Tinker Hatfield’s design aesthetic and Air Max 90 and Nike Mag sampling elements, the Nike Adapt Auto Max takes a new silhouette through its increased profile and thicker midsole.
Mesh upper contours are lightweight and breathable for a custom feel to the foot, while a TPU plate wraps the foot for added stability. In addition, under the foot we find a new Max Air unit that provides more air for an ultra soft footprint.
It’s funny to also see how the Air Max 90’s cassette design element now highlights the Air Max unit.

The Nike Adapt app now gives users exclusive access to the latest Nike Adapt shoe features – updates and improvements to the user experience since the launch of Adapt BB.
As mentioned earlier, you’ll be able to instantly adjust the Nike Adapt Auto Max sneakers using just your voice with five customizable Siri Shortcuts (the Google Assistant is coming later this spring).
You can also control the fit from your Apple Watch , allowing you to easily tighten or loosen the shoe from your wrist.
This spring, Nike Adapt Auto Max users will not only be able to light up their lace motors (choosing from 13 iconic Nike colors) but will also be able to select pulsating or static options.
