Kale or kale chips

Kale, or kale, has become fashionable relatively recently for the many benefits it brings us. As we have named before, it belongs to the cabbage family and is related to cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, brussels sprouts …).

This superfood concentrates a large amount of vitamins and minerals. Calcium, iron, vitamins A, C and K are some of the properties that this vegetable contains. Therefore, this food has become one of the most famous superfoods in recent times.

Ingredients

  • 200 gr of kale leaves (fresh and washed)
  • Olive oil
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • Pepper

Preparation

Prepare the kale

In case you buy the kale with its stem, cut the leaves off the trunk and wash them.
Try to break them with your hands so that they are reduced in size and we can eat them as chips.

Oven plate

On the tray, place a parchment or baking paper and spread the kale leaves well apart.

It is important that they are spread well on the tray so that they are crispy. So you must repeat the process several times to cook the total of 200 gr.

Add a little olive oil and spread it on all the leaves. If necessary use your hands.

Pre-heat the oven

Place the oven at 180º with heat up and down.

Bake

When the oven is hot, insert the tray and bake it for 8-10 minutes. Remove the kale if necessary, so it will be crispier on all sides.
Be careful not to burn them, they shouldn't turn brown.

Spice it up

Add a pinch of Himalayan pink salt and pepper to taste.
