What can be done in the Mondragó Natural Park?

The two best things you can do in this natural park are hiking and enjoying the beach . Below we list the best routes and also the best beaches in this place.

Hiking trails

In the park you will find five routes, all of them perfectly signposted. Through these walks you can enjoy the landscapes, flora and fauna of the park.

Cómo es el Parque Natural de Mondragó

One of the routes is the Mirador de ses Fonts de n’Alis . It is only 580 meters long and leads from the car park to the cove of Mondragó or Caló d’en Garrot, passing next to the Torrente de ses Coves del Rei.

The second route is that of the Volta a sa Guàrdia d’en Garrot , of about 950 meters. It starts right where the first one ends and offers beautiful views of the sea and the beach of s’Amarador. Halfway there you will come across a machine gun nest, which is a shelter that was built in the 40s to guard the entry of boats into the sea . The entire path is perfectly signposted, so you will have no problems finding the end of the route, which is Caló des Borgit.

The third itinerary begins in Punta de ses Gatoves , it is also short, about 660 meters. The route is very beautiful, as it passes through the forest and through a viewpoint that offers beautiful views of the Mallorcan coastline.

The fourth hike, that of S’Amarador , begins just where the previous one ended. The best thing about this is that it leaves the sea behind and enters a different landscape. Along this small route of just 565 meters you will be able to spot some birds.

Finally, the fifth route, that of S’Hort d’en Metge , begins at S’Amarador beach and has a total of 645 meters. If you travel in January or February you can enjoy the almond trees in bloom , but if you travel at any other time, the Majorcan landscape does not disappoint.

As you can see, there are five routes that are connected , so if you like to walk you can do them all together to get to know in depth the landscapes of Mallorca and the Mondragó Natural Park. All are perfectly signposted and are of an easy level, so they do not require any prior physical preparation.

Beaches

In addition to hiking, here you can also enjoy the beach. La Cala de Mondragó is the most popular of all, so during the summer months it is usually quite crowded. Even so, we assure you that it is very worth going, since the crystal clear waters and the fine white sand are paradisiacal.

Playas del Parque de Mondragó

Also within the park is the S’Amarador beach , which is not usually as crowded as the previous one. Although if you are looking for privacy and a virgin and wild landscape, the best is Caló d’es Brugit . To get there, instead of walking east towards S’Amarador, you will have to follow the litorial towards the west. We assure you that here you will find that tranquility and calm that you were looking for so much.
