4 hot smoothies ideal for the cold

We cannot allow ourselves to make the mistake of not drinking our favorite smoothies in winter because they are cold. It is true that ice is the least desirable if it is raining outside or it is 3 degrees, but we can make them hot, right? You will love these ideas in which we will add protein powder, ideal to integrate them into our diet.

The method of preparation is mostly put all the ingredients in the mixer until creamy.

Banana smoothie

You will need to:

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • ¼ cup chopped natural walnuts
  • 1 or 2 dehydrated dates
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 20g vanilla protein

Ginger Smoothie

You will need to:

  • 2 cups almond milk with no added sugar
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • A little pink Himalayan salt
  • 20g vanilla protein

You are going to have to put in a mixer: the almond milk, the banana cut into pieces, the spices and the salt. Beat very well until everything is mixed. Pour the smoothie into cups and sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
This smoothie can be heated up to 40 degrees, if you do it more you will destroy the nutrients of the almond milk.

Hot chocolate

You will need to:

  • 15g chopped dark chocolate.
  • 200ml almond milk without added sugar
  • 20 g oat flakes
  • ½ medium ripe banana
  • 6 natural almonds
  • 5 g chia seeds
  • 20 ml cold water
  • 20g chocolate protein

In a jug, pour the almond milk and dark chocolate. Microwave and heat until mixture is hot and chocolate is melted. You can also do it in a saucepan, if you prefer.
On the other hand, add the oatmeal, banana, almonds, chia seeds and water with a fifth of the almond milk in a blender. Mix on high power for one minute until the oatmeal and chia seeds are fully integrated. While mixing, heat the rest of the chocolate and almond mixture a little longer until hot, but without boiling.
Lastly, pour the oatmeal mixture into your cup and add the almond and chocolate mixture.

Apple smoothie

You will need to:

  • 1 apple, seeded and diced
  • ½ cup (120 ml) of water, although for a creamy smoothie you can use yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of allspice
  • 1 tablespoon of protein powder (optional)

Mix the apple, water, vanilla, maple syrup, and spices in a blender and beat until smooth. Pour it into a cup and microwave it on full power for about 2 minutes. Finish by sprinkling with cinnamon.
